My Pc freezes every few seconds

Hello.
I have been playing Vault hunters 3rd edition(minecraft modpack curseforge) And i have been having freezes every few seconds, sometimes its playable but annoying and other times i just cant do anything. I have 16Gb Ram and even tried to use 8 on the modpack but doesnt help, i ve noticed that my ssd spikes 100% sometimes when the freezes happen. I checked for driver updates did a few things that i saw on videos to decrease the spikes but nothing seems to help. I just updated to windows 11 to see if it was a windows problem and still nothing. (it doesnt just happen in minecraft also on another games for example csgo which is on my hdd not even my ssd so i have no clue what to do at this point).

If this only happens while using this game then your pc must not freeze otherwise? Yes? if thats the case then its the game entirely.

Its not just on that game when i play other games it also happens which is even weirder cause minecraft is the only game that is on my ssd the others are on my hdd, and when it freezes sometimes on my task manager it shows 100% usage on ssd disk.

Check your disk health with Hard Disk Sentinel or similar utility. The lower the worse. If health is 100% but you experience frequent lags and freezes, the disk might be failing anyway. For mechanical hard disk you can also hear for weird noises and clicks. If the disk is OK, there might be a logical error. Check disk and repair any logical errors. Then I would update all drivers. Go to manufacturer support site and download the drivers, don't rely on Windows Update. Then post back for more help.

If your SSD is hitting 100% usage then you will experience freezes or stuttering (delayed mouse movement or keyboard input). Anything you can do to improve SSD performance or reduce SSD activity will help to prevent this from happening. Here are a few suggestions, with caveats. Beware that some of these changes may have undesirable side effects and/or risks. Use with caution and test thoroughly.

• Overprovision your SSD with at least 20% spare area
• Check your SSD alignment. If any partitions are not aligned optimally, wipe it, repartition and reinstall
• Disable Windows page file. If programs complain or cause errors, manually set the page file to the smallest value that works for you
• Move TMP and TEMP folders to a RAM disk. ImDisk is free and works well for this
• Disable hibernation if you are low on disk space
• If you must use a page file, move it to a RAM disk and keep it small
• Disable system services that you know you don't need (extreme caution advised, particularly when disabling MS services)
• Disable Windows write-cache buffer flushing on all disks
• Optimize (TRIM) the SSD occasionally, or confirm it is happening on a schedule
• Install the SSD management software provided by its manufacturer. Most SSD vendors provide software as a free download that can be used to do most of the above, and some additional tweaks in some cases

Auslogics Free Defrag utility also has an SSD optimization function. Unless you have over 8GB RAM, using the temp on a RSM drive won't help much. Using the page file on RAM beats the purpose. The page file is used when there is no enough RAM available. If you have a second mechanical disk, you can use this instead. Disable most startup applications to improve performance. They are usually updaters (Google update, Java update etc), you don't need them run all the time. I manually update my applications once or twice the month.

You're right in that sane software design won't page to disk when there is ample RAM available. I recommend not using a page file if you can get away with it.

Unfortunately some software will use the page file when there is plenty of available RAM. Some software will refuse to run or will generate errors if you attempt to run it with no page file. In cases like this I recommend creating a very small page file, either on disk or in a RAM disk.
