Haha, don't worry! While chatbots and artificial intelligence can certainly be helpful, there will always be a place for human interaction and expertise. That would be mighty ironic. Chat merely scrapes the Web for answers, and re-presents them in a report framework; as cleaver as it is, it has no direct experience of the subject matter. Even if it is capable of learning from previous results, things like feature depreciation and disruptive technologies will throw the algorithms out of validity. If this forum, and forums like it, were out of business, then Chat would have no data to learn from! In fact, the Forum could start it's own Prompt Engineering sub-forum, for the confused and in need of help.

Yes, AI uses statistics to (hopefully) get the best answer. But it does more than just present a found answer in a nice framework.

For example, I can feed it 100 lines of sloppy C# code and ask it to refactor the code and it will do a pretty darn good job of that. Of course, the more code you throw at it at once, the worse the results, but small enough chunks are handled well. Another example is to feed it some quality pseudo-code and ask it to write a function (or even a complete simple console app) in the language of your choice (e.g. C#, Python, PowerShell, etc.) and you will typically get good results. Of course, someone with zero programming experience might take that to mean you can provide some vague requirements and get an entire program with a user interface. That's not happening. Expectations need to be realistic and the question needs to be well-formed with clear context and specific requirements. Lazy input to AI will often yield a poor response. Garbage in = garbage out still applies.
