I do not have any systems that have automatic drive encryption enabled so I cannot test this....
With BitLocker, you can suspend protection for one single boot so that you can perform operations that would normally trigger the request for the BitLocker Recovery Key. This can be done from the GUI in File Explorer or by running this command from an elevated command prompt:
manage-bde -protectors -disable C:
That will suspend BitLocker for ONE boot and it will re-enable itself next time you boot back into Windows.
My question: Will this same command also disable automatic disk encryption? CoPilot says that once the protectors are enabled for Automatic Device Encryption that this command will work the same there as it does for BitLocker, but I'm wondering if anyone can confirm this for me.
How to test:
In File Explorer, the C: drive should show a lock on the drive like this:

NOTE: The above is not my C: drive, but the point remains the same.
After running the command above that icon should look like this:

After a reboot, the bang will disappear and revert back to the lock icon.
If anyone is willing to test this, I would greatly appreciate it.
