Yeah, not too keen on that approach seeing as I only installed Windows 11 a month or 2 ago and like I said, the only files it's complained about being changed are ones I know I changed myself.

I've done repair upgrades in the past and they do often break a lot of things like programs, settings, browser extensions etc.

Do you really think it's necessary or can we skip on the next step?

That step may fix problems related to the creation of dump files.

I haven't got to try this repair install because I have been busy the last couple of days but I got another BSOD tonight for driver irql which definitely did make a minidump and have attached the log collector zip

The possible reason for driver verifier not making dump files was that it was not set make a mini dump file on BSOD. Resetting driver verifier might have reset this setting so tomorrow I will try to get driver verifier to BSOD again making sure this setting is correct beforehand.

1) Please run Tuneup plus again (post #2) > post a share link
(This will reset the startup and recovery system failure and virtual memory / page file settings so that they are optimal for troubleshooting)

2) Make a new restore point

3) Please make sure that these settings are maintained

Tune up created a lof on this run instead of a zip file. Link is here.

I just got another BSOD but it restarted before I could see it and it does not seem to have made a dump file despite being told to make a minidump in the advanced startup settings.

Tried running the verifier again with the dump settings to minidump. Got 2 BSODs with it and no dump files generated.

1) For any BSOD post a new V2 share link into the newest post.

2) Make a backup image:

3) When possible perform the steps in post #26 or
perform a Windows 11 clean install

Alrighty.

Backup made through Macrium.

Repair installation is done.

A dozen BSODs triggered through the driver verifier again but still no dump files. The repair install has wiped the minidump folder clean.
