New Media Player just came out.

New Media Player , version ; Microsoft.ZuneMusic_11.2508.31.0 just came out .
Very good on my 11-rig..........!

Is it a fork? ZuneMusic died in 2015 didn’t it?

Interesting, I was not aware

Its the replacement for the "old " legacy WMP .
Getting updates from the store , works very good ( Win10/11) support for many extensions also............

The Zune Software is working on Windows 11. manage all my music files.

I am actually shocked, that there are people, who still use Media Player.
In the meantime, I use MPC BE x64 with Always on top and clean interface.

as far as i've ever been aware, the zune package name has been in place for the uwp media player since its inception.. i always just assumed they used zune code in it and left the name as the standard user wont notice anyways. not the only shortcut they've ever taken

I pretty much use foobar for everything now, albeit pretty hard on fuel! MPC-BE is still best all around and, a little easier on RAM!

It's the only software that lets me sync playlists to a USB drive for my car.

I'll stick with VLC, because unlike most proprietary media players, VLC will play anything from any source in any known format. And it can edit audio and video files.
