Hi, new member here. Out of curiosity I upgraded my HP Elite 8300 to Windows 11, so I can see if it's worth upgrading my other machines. All of which are non-W11 compliant. This machine has a TPM 1.2, and no secure boot option. I used the latest Rufus version to get around that, and the upgrade went smoothly. I also have retained my local account.
My question is, since it is a non-compliant computer, what is the status of updates? I am getting Defender updates daily, no problem there. I assume the system is updated to March, since I did the upgrade after Update Tuesday. But what will happen in April? Will I have to update manually, and will they be security-only updates?
Thanks, Mike
