Nope, I haven't done all the recent updates, I am still at build 22621.1992 When I do them I will let you know if it still works.

It was working for me on build 22621.1992 too, but it stopped working for me after I installed the KB5028254 update (the one that changes the build to 22621.2070).

Let's hope there will be a new Explorer Patcher update that fixes that, although I don't use task switch. I just click on the respective app icon on the taskbar to go directly there without cycling from task view.

I don't use Task View either, as I don't need Multiple Virtual Desktops, and, each time when just clicking on an icon on the taskbar doesn't really satisfy my need, I always rely on the Simple Window Switcher (SWS) of ExplorerPatcher. SWS is as simple as possible. Not simpler. That's why everyone and their cat should immediately start using it IMO.

I just loaded this, scary install process. Rebooted. Looking at my PC screens and doing anything thereafter was like watching a scene where the six million dollar man throws a half ton steel pole at a traveling van of bad guys with nuclear weapons. Sound effects ringing through my head. Lag city.

Question, please; If I uninstall this does it take the changes with it?

I’d guess that either you got a bad download or there’s something on your PC that interacts with Explore Patcher. In my experience, EP is lightweight, easy to install and uninstall, has no noticeable effect on speed and doesn’t affect the display except for changes you ask it to make.

Very possibly, LeeB. I’m still running on an upgrade to 11 from 10 so I can learn in here how I want to configure 11 after a fresh install. When I do a fresh install I’ll try it again, thank you

Sad news for the future of Explorer Patcher - I guess this will mean the end.

On the other hand we will get native taskbar ungrouping from MS in 23H2 which for me have been the number 1 reason for using Explorer Patcher.

Still no small icons, and not possibility to change the size and position of the taskbar. If Explorer Patcher cannot work on 23H2 I will remain on the last version. Maybe Microsoft will understand.

I'm still not confident to remove Start11. Small taskbar icons still working within this app, so pretty odd? Taskbar ungrouping also works.

ExplorerPatcher also works like a charm most of the time. Worried about the future Windows updates though. Can you move around and change the size of the taskbar in Start11?

The best I can do is move it to the top and make it multi layer by the looks, not drag and drop anywhere

Schlechte Nachrichten.

The Win10 taskbar is the feature I'd most hate to give up--a vertical taskbar left side of screen is perfect for me. EP works fine for me now, so I'll delay upgrading as long as I can, and hope for a miracle.

Thanks but will not work for me. I use never combine and multiple monitors. When I undock and everything goes to the one laptop monitor I like to drag the taskbar to make it double or triple to fit all the open windows on one screen.

I am using the latest version of ExplorerPatcher with build 22621.2134 of Win 11 pro.
Has anyone noticed that since the update on Tuesday KB5029265 That when I click on any shortcut to Explorer it seems to restart itself, has anyone got a fix or is @valinet or someone on GitHub aware of this?
Everything else is working fine.
