Solved No calendar when I click on clock 22000.65

Well, I figured it out.
It was a left over checkmark in Winaero Tweaker's "Disable Action Center". Once UNchecked, the calendar is back.
I also got the "Quick Access" flyout back.

Thanks all for your help. Your suggestions allowed me to eliminate looking in a LOT of places. :)

This doesn't just break the calendar. This just appeared in the latest version of Winaero Tweaker.

That in place install/repair you did didn't do a good job as it allowed the tweak to stay. Good job finding the culprit though.

The tweak was from a 3rd party program. The in-place upgrade doesn't touch those.
In-Place upgrades (if you tell them to keep programs and files), only deals with Windows files.

As long as Winaero Tweaker is still there... it will keep applying those settings, no matter how many In-Place upgrades are done.
That's what led me to Winaero as the possible cause of the problem.
Since the In-Place upgrade "didn't" fix the problem... I knew then, that it had to be caused by a 3rd party program.

First I checked Bitdefender, and when that didn't turn up any solutions... pretty much the only thing left was Winaero.

In-place upgrade/repair keeps files and folders ... of course.

Glad you found the culprit - and that it wasn't a purely W11 bug.

That's the danger of third-party tweak programs on an early beta OS - you don't know if an issue is OS related or due to third-party app(s). You also don't get to see how the program is actually supposed to work sans any third-party apps.

I prefer to learn the basics of the OS before I start tweaking away with third-party apps (not that I use them anyway).

I did an "In-Place upgrade" from Win 10 to Win 11.
I didn't "install" Winaero on Win 11... I forgot it was there.

Still, that was the ONLY one of my approx. 15 Winaero Tweaks, that didn't transfer well.


As you can see I also "tested" the Classic Start Menu tweak just for the heck of it.
I repeat... don't use that Tweak.

Lastly, this is the version of Winaero Tweaker that "supports" Windows 11.
Just like Win 11... it has a few bugs.

Most important of all... this is why we use backup software.
It's our "get out of jail free" card. :)

Ignore those first two sentences concerning left clicking. It wasn't applicable and should have been deleted. In fact I did delete, you just quoted me before I finished my edit :)

It is because Explorer.exe (Windows Explorer) runs out of resources. Kill and restart Explorer.exe, does it work?

Appreciate the suggestion, but the problem is already solved.

This is what caused the calendar and the "Quick Access" to disappear....
When I upgraded Win 10 to Win 11, this program and it's settings came to Windows 11, with all my other programs and files.








UNchecking this box.... allowed the calendar and Quick Access to function again.

This helped my fix why my quick access never worked from the beginning. I was never using any tweak program but I was on Windows Insider program, which I forgot I was on lol, so I came home last week from work said I needed a restart so I blindly restart. Well it came up Windows 11 and I was like oh yeah insider oops. Well the problem I had was that I initially had action center in Windows 10 disabled and when it updated to 11 it kept the settings as it but I could not figure out why it never worked until this post. I had to install the tweaker just to uncheck this box and now it works. Just thought I would post this for anyone else who might have disabled it in Windows 10 previously and updated without turning it back on first.

I had the same problem under the same conditions, and I'm glad y'all figured out the Windows Action Center influence on this. I must have disabled mine years ago on W10, I hated that thing, and it's really an oversight on Microsoft to not re-enable it when doing an in-place upgrade from W10 to W11.

Regardless, for anybody else who doesn't have a tweak app controlling this, here's how you can reset it from Windows itself:

1. Press "Windows + R" keys
2. Type "gpedit.msc" and press Enter
3. On the left menu, click on "Administrative Templates" under the User Configuration section
4. On the right, open "Start Menu and Taskbar"
5. Scroll down the list until you find "Remove Notifications and Action Center"
6. Double click on that, then set it to "Not Configured"
7. Press OK
8. Win with Win11
