How do I see the clock/seconds (not the notifications) when I click on the clock?

In earlier version of Windows 11 - and all prior Windows versions - if I clicked on the clock in the lower right corner of the display, I'd see a running clock including seconds. Now what I see is as shown below, the notifications. The notification "bell" icon and the clock display are one piece now. How do I see a running clock again, versus notifications? If I turn on notification DND, I still don't see the clock.

I see the same thing but for seconds I think there's a settings that needs changing but according to this it's an installable option:

Thanks. It sounds narrow and silly, but the seconds running and visible would be distracting. I'd only want to see seconds if setting an analog watch, or some other rare need to know time to the second (and of course I know that my phone and this same computer could bring up an atomic time display, or a time app, or...). Just wishing that something not broken hadn't needed "fixing."
