Solved Windows 11 pro sign in screen is showing amazon delivery info. How do I stop this?

I am getting a notification for amazon delivery on my Windows 11 Pro sign in screen for several days now.

This happens when getting my pc out of sleep mode, but not if I shut the computer off and then start it back up.

Can you tell me how to turn this off?

I should point out that I turned off every single setting in notifications manually, and have now used the registry edit, and I'm still getting the amazon notification.

Windows version is 22H2 (OS build 22621.2715)

Do you have the Alexa app installed?

Disable showing emails (Mail).

System --> Personalization --> Lock Screen --> Lock Screen Status - Either change it to none, or else change it to something like the weather.

No, I don't. I strongly suspect this is microsoft. I had to use the Edge browser for the first time last week (I normally use Firefox exclusively), and this happened the next day. Oh, and I used edge to access my hotmail account that just happens to be the one I use for amazon.
If necessary, i'll just delete all the mail and change the amazon account to use my gmail.

That is already set to calendar.
But just below it I see a switch that I can turn off so that it won't show the background picture at all. Maybe if I turn that off, the amazon notification will go away too?

No that won’t be necessary. Do what @johnlgalt said, and also go into group policy editor and disable spotlight (if you don’t use it) and reboot.

Turning off the lockscreen background didn't do it.

No, change calendar to None. It's at the very top of the drop down list where you pick Calendar, and you may have to scroll to see it.

I don't have the option for "none", so I selected "picture", put the pc to sleep again, and when I woke it up the amazon alert was gone.

weirdest thing, I scrolled by moving the little selector bar, and I saw it, but when I tried to select it, it went away, and now it's not there whether I scroll or not.
but regardless, selecting photo did the trick, thanks.

I wasn't talking about anything to do with the customization of the lock screen itself - I meant the 2 second option:

Those options you show there, I only have 3 of those. Windows spotlight, Picture, and Slideshow.

But I like being able to select the lock screen pic, so i'll keep it this way.

click the dropdown, hit space to select whatever one is highlighted, then press n and see if it selects "none" by itself

You're clicking the box above where I want you to click.

Lick the green box, not the red box.




I think you may need to turn spotlight back on first, though.

I think this might be being tackled wrong. I believe you need to turn off notifications on locked screen.



EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to save the edit: 2. Uncheck show notifications on locked screen.
You shouldn't need to change anything else on the locked screen.

Hitting space simply selects the one that the cursor bar is near.
Hitting N doesn't do anything.

Here's what I get from both dropdowns.

I assumed it was a calendar entry / mail entry since I didn't have a screenshot to see it.

Good call. Now just gotta figure out what he is seeing and where he is seeing it lol.

If you mean System > Notifications, I turned off everything in there.

Can you take a picture of it with your phone or something, then edit out any personal information?

It may be app related, but you telling us what you're seeing is not enough.
