When I clicked on the clock on 22000.1, my calendar would pop up.
Since the update to 22000.65 the calendar doesn't pop up any more.

Also, the time/date on the lock screen changed from lower left corner, to top center.

Anyone else experience this?

No calendar when I click on clock 22000.65

Well, I figured it out. It was a left over checkmark in Winaero Tweaker's "Disable Action Center". Once UNchecked, the calendar is back. I also got the "Quick Access" flyout back. Thanks all for your help. Your suggestions allowed me to eliminate looking in a LOT of places. :)...

I just installed the OS and the Calendar pops up when I click it. The date/time clock is centered on my edition as well.

I didn't "install" I did an In-Place Upgrade from Windows 10.
I'm on a local Admin account.

So was I. It's all good :)

Anyway, I don't have an issue with the calendar, and yeah, time/date is center top. This is the first version I tried so I can speak on the behavior of previous versions.

BTW, for those interested, Remote Desktop works - can remote into Win 11 from 10 and vice versa.

Side note: DISM ... restore Health and sfc /scannow come up clean.
Everything else works fine.

I googled about this... I already tried the open the time/date settings and reset them to defaults. That didn't help.
I also don't have the "Quick Settings" that overlays the internet and speaker icon, that's right next to the clock.

Like you, I have jumped through hoops to upgrade a non-compliant PC from W10 to W11. Unlike you, I have not attempted to 'tame it' with registry hacks....

I'm a firm believer in never customising Windows any further than is possible within the Settings app. In W10 I've never used WinAero Tweaker or Classic Shell, for example. I now have a quite heavily customised Start in W10, but all done within the limits of what MS provide as normal Windows functions. I find it safer to adapt my behaviour to a new OS, rather than hack it to behave like a previous one. Somewhere in the middle I find a compromise I can live with.

I'm doing the same on my Windows 11 machine, and as such my calendar is still fully functional after 22000.65 was installed by windows update. I suspect your problem is self-inflicted....

1. My PC is fully compliant, no tricks involved.
2. The backup (which I restored to) of 22000.1 has all my "registry hacks", and the calendar worked.


However, as soon as it or I updated to 22000.65, the calendar stopped working.
The only other issue, is that, I don't have the "Quick Settings" area, at the right on the Taskbar.

Lastly, I don't know IF the following is normal or not...

When I right click the Taskbar, the ONLY things I see is Taskbar Settings.

22000.1 was basically W10 with just the new GUI for Start. AIUI the Settings app was still the old W10 one, for example. 22000.51 was the first to have the rest of the 'new look' makeover and the deeper OS changes.

All else... functions perfectly. DISM and sfc come up clean as well.
I'm hoping maybe someone playing around with their Settings, has caused the Calendar NOT to appear, and knows what they did to cause it.

I realize this is NOT easy to solve. I just posted it in the off chance that someone can reproduce the problem, and knows how to UNDO it. :)


I also noticed I can't drag the speaker icon to the little storage "arrow" icon, like I could on W10, but I assumed that was the new normal as well.

Here's all the registry tweaks I've done and left altered...

Possible experiment...

Plus I did the one's posted here to change Taskbar size, and revert to old Start Menu.



But... all these were also done on my 22000.1 backup, where the calendar... worked, but the "Quick Access" area has never worked.
I only know of the "Quick Access" area, cause I've seen it in pics of tweaks on the webz.

I only got two updates... .NET Framework, and 22000.65

Yes, the system tray area has had a radical work-over. What appears at first sight to be multiple icons (network, sound, battery, calendar, notifications, etc.) is now just two composite functions - one handles calendar/notifications, the other is for the rest. In fact there is no 'notifications' icon visible now, except when you have a notification to read.

You will see this for yourself if you click on the sound or network 'icons'. What opens is a composite window that covers all the functions, and on the taskbar you'll see that the whole of that section is highlighted, showing that it's just the one app that now has focus.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro.

    My SYSTEM FOUR is a 2-in-1 convertible Lenovo Yoga 11e 20DA, Celeron N2930, 8GB RAM, 256GB ssd. Unsupported device: currently running Win10 Pro, plus Win11 Pro RTM and Insider Dev, Beta, and RP 24H2 as native boot vhdx.

Yes, the system tray area has had a radical work-over. What appears at first sight to be multiple icons (network, sound, battery, calendar, notifications, etc.) is now just two composite functions - one handles calendar/notifications, the other is for the rest. In fact there is no 'notifications' icon visible now, except when you have a notification to read.

You will see this for yourself if you click on the sound or network 'icons'. What opens is a composite window that covers all the functions, and on the taskbar you'll see that the whole of that section is highlighted, showing that it's just the one app that now has focus.

Yeah... that is the "Quick Access". I never had that, since the In-Place Upgrade.
I didn't have that even on 22000.1 Well, on the 22000.1 that I have a backup of, which is after my reg tweaks.


I had Notifications (W10), completely disabled on the W10 that I upgraded from.

Strange, as that screenshot was taken from my W10 laptop that had the in-place upgrade to W11. It has always worked for me, both in .51 and after the update to .65.

I guess I could restore this SSD back to Win 10, then do the In-Place again, and let it update, before I do any registry tweaks.

That would only take about 45 mins.


I don't THINK I ever had Quick Access, but I'm not 100% sure.
The earliest backup I have is 22000.1 after the reg tweaks. And I know that that doesn't have Quick Access.

Lemme try hooking up to my MS account, and see if that fixes anything.
