"no internet, secured" issue

Wired isn't an option due to the router being in another room. It is not my Wi-Fi as I am able to connect other devices to it just fine. I was also able to use a previous ISP with zero problems whatsoever. What's also funny is that when I was running Linux, I could connect with no issue whatsoever.

Wondering if there's some sort of way to force my computer to connect.

I had this issue on 24H2 but after re-installing the WLAN driver it solved the problem
give it a try
as you mentioned you didn't have this problem before (even on linux) so I think signal is not weak but maybe changing the channel solves your problem. go to your modem settings and change the bandwidth or frequency to make sure it's not from the hardware.
I don't know your location but many of my friends have this problem in Iran due to filtering! have you ever tried a VPN? or do you have a firewall?
when windows cannot connect to Microsoft website it says connected, no internet too.

I've been getting the same thing most of the time.

In my case, the problem seems to have to do with the installed VPN (NordVPN).
Depending on the protocol used for the selected VPN server, NordLynx was connected but Ethernet wasn't. Wi-fi had the above error.

The fix was to:
1) reset the Ethernet connection (it removes the VPN) and reboot.
2) with a clean (non-VPN) setup, connect Ethernet and whatever Wi-Fi adapter you use. At this time all adapters I tried connected properly.
3) I started the VPN again and all adapters remained working. NordLynx doesn't show now in the Network Settings, but if I left-click on the Network icon in the task bar, I see it there but with all three connected.

I don't know why it behaves like that but it worked (until it doesn't anymore?).

i would consider setting the connection up with static addressing.

then test the connection.

Did you try rebooting your router?

I've had the "No Internet Access" issue on my new Win 11 system. At the time, there were multiple other devices connected and working via the same router. Win 11 was even connected to the router... it just couldn't get out past it. Had no DNS lookup ability. Very odd. Rebooting the Win 11 system didn't help. Window's old and new troubleshooters couldn't correct the issue - in fact, the new one just hung.

After hacking around a bit, I went with "have you tried turning it off and on again" option and rebooted the router. Boom, working.

I would have preferred to try to trace it down more finely and know what the actual issue was, but sometimes "Meh, it works now" is a better life option.

My experience with the Verizon router is that every few months, or sometimes more often, it needs a reset. The Verizon FiOS TV box needs a reboot every couple weeks, and frequently it just goes into LaLa land and has to be rebooted.

Not to head off-track, but you probably need a new FIOS TV box. It shouldn't need reboots that frequently. The router... maybe. Most seem to benefit from a periodic reboot at least every few months. Shouldn't be true, but I've seen various vendors routers, DVR's, etc hang after being powered up for a number of months.

A small update on my VPN (NordVPN) case.

Win 11 did a security update and wanted to reboot. I let it.

When it came back, the NordLynx was first in the Network Settings list with Ethernet shown as unconnected. I didn't bother connecting the Wi-Fi since it would probably show as secured without internet.

A quick fix, was to put NordVPN in pause mode for 5 minutes (it switches to my provider). Nordlynx disappeared from the Network Settings and Wi-Fi and Ethernet took the first two spots showing as connected.

After the 5 minutes went by and NordVPN run, that state didn't change.

15 minutes later I got a popup from NordVPN. A new version had been installed in the background (7.40.2.0).
Everything still worked.
Just in case, I restarted Win 11, NordVPN installed and Nordlynx came back, but Ethernet was connected too now. As before, I connected the Wi-Fi, NordLynx lost its place in Network Settings and I got in its place the connected Ethernet and Wi-Fi.

So far so good.

I've come to the same conclusion on the FiOS DVR, I've just been putting it off. One problem is they changed the boxes, and their new one gets very poor reviews, they've removed some of the key features I use. Now it's much harder for the DVR to skip commercials, something I use a lot!

Yeah... that wouldn't be a feature. That's the key feature in a DVR, short of the basic recording function. I can see the advantage of your position.
