Hi everyone :)

I recently started using Bestcrypt Volume Encryption.

I noticed when I encrypted my system volume, the boot logo disappeared when starting Windows. I just decrypted and re-encrypted and the logo still isn't there (even when it was decrypted).

How can I get it back?? It's a cosmetic issue, but it's irritating.

Usually the start logotype is taken from the Boot Resource Library, which is located in:
C:\Windows\Boot\Resources\bootres.dll

In my 22000.438 it has a size 172,368 bytes, version 10.0.22000.1. The file is digitally signed and cannot be replaced easily, need to change its owner. However, in theory it's possible to replace it with a file from another Windows version, I didn't try this in Windows 11, but tried in 8.1 (need to replace a resource bootres.dll.mui too).

You can check this library, may be it's damaged or missed.

As a trial and error step see if temporarily disabling secure boot allows the reappearance of the boot logo.
If it does then reenable secure boot and see whether it remains or disappears again.

This DLL has a digital signature, it should be shown in a tab in file properties. But apparently the source of your problem is not here.
