Solved No more Safe to Remove Hardware banner (toast)

Thank you for that suggestion, but I think I'll pass. I see that it can do what I want Windows to do when I click Eject, but Windows already does that for USB-connected drives. And I'm just timid enough to be certain that I'll NEVER pull a hard drive from a machine unless the machine is not only OFF but UNPLUGGED as well. Call me overly cautious, but I think caution is the better part of wisdom in this case.

The only thing I put on a Thumb Drive is a Linux Distro using Rufus, and program installers that I want to save. I never run a program from a Thumb drive and never have had a corrupted one.

Yeah one step forward two/ three steps backwards

I usually just go to explorer and right click the disk I want to eject, I'm there already so no biggie.

Just in case it helps, I lost my Banner
then read here that there are Notifications in the "bell" icon
When I read mine, it told me that DO NOT DISTURB was on
When I turned DO NOT DISTURB off, my Safe to Remove banner returned :giggle:
Didn't even open Regedit to look

That happens to me a lot, even with my phone.

I now check "do not disturb" first when things go awry.

Thanks so much Wynona! Not complicated at all. Just go to Notifications (click the bell icon in the far right of the taskbar) and make sure that Do Not Disturb is turned off. The "Safe to Remove...." message that everyone is missing, will be straight back. Excellent!
