No room left on C Drive

I am a novice when it comes to "tech things" I just got a notice my C Drive is full. I have no idea where to go from here. I did try DIsk Cleanup and
I got no storage space. I just do not understand what could be taking up so much space. Is there any kind of fix for this besides having to buy another PC? I have put a screenshot
of my version of Win 11

your problem is easy to fix. you can move personal data to a different drive without having to buy another PC.

SIMPLY purchase an external hard drive that plugs into a USB port on your PC.

Open Disk Manager and click on the disk that is indicated as full and select "open".

you can drag and drop personal files and folders, videos, music etc. to the open external drive.

With a 256GB SSD it's easy to run out of space, temp files, swap files etc, these are difficult to move to a portable drive. You might also have file left over from Windows Updates, there are utilities you can use to remove unwanted files, but these can be dangerous if you not 100% sure what you are deleting.

Personal files can be taking up space, I would download the following app, and post a screenshot once it's scanned your drive so we have a better idea of what's being stored:

Before you can move data you need to find out exactly what is eating up all the current drive space.

• Download a free storage analyzer like TreeSize Free or WinDirStat. Treesize Free is a potratble app that does not require installation. WinDirStat is installed and available through the Microsoft store or using an MSI
• Run the program to scan your drive.
• View a color-coded map or sorted list that instantly shows which specific folders and large files are taking up the most space.

A bit of Google says that this particular machine can accommodate 2 hard drives...1 for an NVME and 1 for a 2.5 inch or 3.5 inch SATA drive. The necessary cables to connect a second drive may or may not be included in your machine.

I don't know if that is true.

We don't know for certain what your specific machine has. I guess the base configuration is one hard drive of 256 gb capacity. We can't yet tell how your drive space is divided between Windows, applications, and personal data.
