No way to delete a language pack from W11

What I've observed is that even if you delete a language pack, it's just hidden from the Language tab, but it's actually still installed in the system. I could verify that by trying to reinstall it and seeing that it would be almost instantaneous to add it, whereas the first time it took several minutes. It's annoyig because I downloaded the voice packs and I wanted to get rid of them, but I can't.

I've noticed that some packages are present more than once, with one package having state "Installed" and the others having state "Superseded". Does that mean that Windows is so dumb to keep stored even the older versions of a package?

I think Superseded means not installed, but will be installed when needed.

No, "Superseded" is an older version of the same package. I tried to remove it, and it automatically removed both "Superseded" and current "Installed" version for the same package.

I also noticed that for Notepad, MSPaint and other apps, it automatically installs the language as a separate package...

If the packages installed by Windows Update, you can use Update Manager for Windows (WuMgr) app to manage and hide updates.

You have two PowerShell versions installed, but they may be dependent on each other too work, probably.

It's not dumb, that's for situations where you need to rollback a later version if it turns out faulty. Otherwise you would have to re-install from scratch to get rid of a bad update.

If you do a DISM ResetBase cleanup, all the superseded versions will go away. ResetBase collapses it so the last version is the only version stored, with no possible rollbacks.
