Not Receiving 24H2 Update Notification

Windows 11 24H2 Insider Build (Beta channel)
Windows 11 23H2 Pro.

I am not receiving the 24H2 update notification. I noticed that my system drive doesn't include a recovery partition but it didn't bother me because I regularly create and save full system image backups. But now I'm wondering if that's why I am not receiving the 24H2 update. Is that likely?

And, if I perform an in-place upgrade, should I create a 1GB partition on the system drive beforehand to accommodate a recovery partition or would the in-place upgrade automatically take care of that for me?

Yes, the In-Place Upgrade will put a recovery partition on there if it needs too.

Use this version of 24H2 for the In-Place Upgrade... (use the ISO method).

Select language for Windows 11, version 24H2 (26100.7171) amd64

Select language for Windows 11, version 24H2 (26100.7171) amd64 on UUP dump. UUP dump lets you download Unified Update Platform files, like Windows Insider updates, directly from Windows Update.

Then use the Enablement Package to get 25H2 <---- takes 3 seconds and a reboot.

All of 25H2 is included in 24H2, but disabled. The Enablement Package just turns the 25H2 things... ON.

The i5-9500 should be 24H2 and 25H2 capable.

I have no idea. Probably not though.
I haven't had a recovery partition on Win 10 or Win 11.

The 25H2 Enablement Package gave me one, but I just removed it again.
You don't need to leave space for it.
If MS wants to put it there... they will.
They won't overwrite anything, they'll just grab 600-800MB from some other partition. ^^

you can download the windows 25H2 ISO from Microsoft
and use the ISO to upgrade your system directly to 25H2 from 23H2.

I enabled the option to "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available" and woke this morning to find that 25H2 had been installed overnight.
