This release addresses 4 security issues (CVE-2023-40031, CVE-2023-40036, CVE-2023-40164 & CVE-2023-40166) and introduces several bug-fixes and new features.

1. Fix 4 security issues CVE-2023-40031, CVE-2023-40036, CVE-2023-40164 & CVE-2023-40166.
2. Security enhancement: Sign uninstall.exe.
3. Change the slogan in installer.
4. Fix eventual memory leak while reading Utf8-16 files.
5. Fix dragging tab performance issue while Document List is displayed.
6. Add supperss 2GB file warning option for x64.
7. Fix cloned document disassociated issue after Notepad++ being relaunched.
8. Fix session file saving problem if it's read-only.
9. Fix activating wrong file(s) issue after loading session file.
10. Fix wrong product version value displayed in file's properties.

  4. Optimize switching programming language performance for large files. (Fix #16106)
  5. Improve folding/unfolding performance for large files. (Fix #16064)
  6. Fix SQL Backslash Preference state regression (from v8.7). (Fix #16249)
  7. Fix count operation on regex causing Notepad++ to hang. (Fix #16207)
  8. Fix FunctionList not refreshing with current document lexer changes. (Fix #16221)
  9. Improve Style Configurator GUI organization. (Fix #15939)
  10. Adds SAS programming language support. (Fix #16148)
  11. Make existing DirectWrite rendering modes accessible. (Fix #16126)
  12. Allow DirectWrite use on non-Core Windows Server. (Fix #15916)
  13. Use VTS instead of LTS for specific control code abbreviation. (Fix #16107)
  14. Fix installer silent mode doLocalConf.xml setting handling issue. (Fix #16233)

  4. Fix SQL Backslash Escape preference not taking effect immediately. (Fix #16244)
  5. Add new low-level DirectX11 DirectWrite 1.1 Scintilla rendering mode. (Implement #16284)
  6. Add versions of external libraries (Scintilla/Lexilla/Boost) to Debug Info. (Fix #11466)
