That looks like a DEV channel update number. They update rather fast and furious.

They don't need to get any longer, just bigger.

The first two numbers (10.0) are the OS version, reported to any software that needs to know what version it is running on. For this purpose Windows 10 and Windows 11 provide the same support and are classed as the same OS. This number increases with a major OS release, Windows 8 and 8.1 were both version 6.3.

The third number (25145) is the build number. This will increase only when there is a Feature Update. That 25145 one is for the latest feature update in the Insider Dev channel. The current 21H2 release of Windows 11 is build 22000. The planned Feature Update for windows 11, 22H2 due later this year, is likely to be build 22621, currently on test in the Insider Release Preview channel.

The final number is the revision for any particular build. This increases with each new cumulative update. For the 22000 build the latest revision is .778.

So no, the number can grow to accommodate any future OS without getting any longer.
