It's my use of VBA, Outlook, Access that would stop me considering any alternative to MSOffice.

Totally agree. I think most people are willing to risk a $20 key not working a year or two later with the super low cost of the keys. I am a little surprised that Microsoft hasn't really put in much effort to stop the rampant abuse of these keys. I assume they hoped to snag a good number of people getting them onto Office 365. Of course many don't like subscriptions, or don't have a need for the OneDrive space that it comes with.....so those people are still going to be hunting for keys.

I have seen Office 2019 pretty cheap online for years but was wary of buying from these websites. One of the YouTube channels I watch is sponsored by one of these sites and said they had been using them for over five years without any problems. Three years ago I bought 2 copies of Office 2019 Pro Plus for $57 each. Six months ago I bought Office 2021 Pro Plus for $60.

I think it is good that we have a choice of whether to buy a subscription or pay a one-time price for a standalone version of Office. The same for leasing or buying a car. There are pros and cons for both.
