One folder not opening immediately and fields not populating

One folder of mp3 files (26) was not opening immediately, created a new folder with a different name, then it opened ok, but when i changed the name as originally and it once again took ages to open.
also the fields are not fully populating, some tracks are but most remain blank, checked in mp3tag and all ok, what could be wrong to cause this single folder to misbehave

Make sure all MP3 files play. If any are corrupted, it would cause delay in populating.
Are these files located on the main C: drive or an External USB HDD?

Check the health of your drives., If there are bad sectors on your drive where the files are stored, the files may be corrupted.
Download DiskGenius and or Crystal Disk Info both in my signature.
View the SMART Info for all your drives separately. If any drives health is less the GOOD, it needs to be replaced

Only happens on One Folder only, moved to a different hard drive same problem,

Do the tracks play? If they do, create a new folder and paste them into that

Perhaps those tracks have very large image files (or whatever) in the meta-data?

The MP3 tracks in this folder are virtually identical to another folder which opens and populates perfectly. Tried moving files to a new folder, same problem
Will try taking half of the MP3s and copying to a new folder and the other half to another folder and see if one of the new folders exhibits the problem, then hopefully if it's a file issue I can slowly illiminate it by continually repeating this procedure.

hello
well i know this is risky but i found a registry hack which is meant to resolve this problem, the folder opens quicker now, but the fields populate very slowly, in fact they only populate as the window is scrolled down.

tried splitting half of the files into a new folder, but both folders have the same issue, so not solved
