This is what's happening: listening to music, watching a video or even doing something that doesn't require audio... there'll be a click and the audio disappears. Usually within a second second there'll be another click and the audio's back.
Driver: since I'm running my audio through my studio monitors I'm using my Behringer UMC204HD audio interface and the ASIO4ALL driver. This device is set as the standard device for everything.
What I've observed: Had the sound panel open a few times and seen that with the first click the sound device disappears completely and reappears with the second click.
Weird stuff: This worked fine before. Been doing this for the last 4 years (ever since I got the Behringer) and never had issues. I even reinstalled Windows completely in August/September last year and for a while it worked fine. I don't why this happening now.
Windows version: 25H2. Build 26200.7540
Yes, I am aware that I could plug in some desktop speakers and use the bog standard realtek drivers. The studio monitor are much better sound though and having the Behringer right there on my desk makes it easy to flip-flop between speakers and headphones or even plug in an instrument for some quick recording. And again, this worked fine for years. There are no conflicting drivers installed.
As I type this the sound device has completely disappeared so I'll probably have to reboot. Annoying. Any insight on how to fix this is muchly appreciated.
