realtek audio issue

I am facing an issue with the Realtek audio driver on my laptop.

The problem started after I accidentally deleted/uninstalled the Realtek audio driver from my system. Since then, I have been experiencing continuous audio issues.

I downloaded the official Realtek audio driver package from my laptop manufacturer's website and tried installing it.

Here is what happens during the installation process:

1. When I run the setup, it first uninstalls the existing Realtek audio driver.
2. It then asks me to restart the laptop.
3. After restarting, the sound starts working temporarily.
4. However, when the setup continues and installs the new Realtek driver, the sound stops working again after the next restart.

If I ignore the final restart prompt and do not complete the new driver installation, the sound works temporarily. But whenever Windows updates automatically, the same issue starts again and the sound stops working.

Additionally, I have already tried troubleshooting step-by-step with the help of ChatGPT and followed the complete driver reinstallation process carefully, but the problem still persists.

In summary:

• The issue started after I accidentally deleted the Realtek driver.
• Sound works temporarily after uninstall.
• Sound stops after new Realtek driver installation.
• Windows updates trigger the issue again.
• Full troubleshooting steps have already been attempted.

I am not sure whether this is a driver compatibility issue, a Windows update conflict, or something related to Intel Smart Sound Technology.

Are you saying that Windows Update is updating the Realtek drivers?

there's such a utility as it's called Acer Care Center
