OpenShell consumes a lot of memory and lags

I have the following problem. I use ExplorerPatcher with OpenShell.

At some point I noticed that the start menu sometimes opens with a delay of several seconds.
At this moment the memory consumption of explorer.exe process rises from about 20 MB to 400 MB.

Recently this became even worse: the memory consumption is always high at about 312 MB.

When exiting OpenShell, the memory consumtion of explorer.exe instantly drops to 20-30 MB, more than tenfold.

I have a similar system installed on the same computer with all visually the same, also EP and OS.
There is no such problem on that system: the explorer.exe consumes 20 MB memory,
regardless of how often you click the start button and there is no delay.

How can I solve this problem?

Have you attempted to remove both apps (I suggest using Revo uninstaller so it will clean out any remaining registry entries) Then restart, With both apps gone, check if there is a delay in your start. Also check memory use.
Re-install the apps, checking after each install how it affects your memory use and start menu.

I do not use either of those apps, but I do use Start 11 and Winaero Tweaker portable. Start11 and its service use .7 mb.
