Opinions on Gigabyte Z890 AORUS Elite motherboard?

I'll be upgrading my main PC next week. It's sooner than my normal upgrade time, but I decided to do it early as a hedge against possible tariff-related price increases. ASUS has been my go-to motherboard for years, but reviews don't look very good for their Z890 boards I might consider. The Gigabyte AORUS Elite seems to have everything I need, but I've never bought that brand. The CPU will be Core Ultra 7 265K, which should work well since I'm not a gamer.

I've been building since 1998, and have been with Gigabyte boards since 2010 when I bought their X58 board. My last now 6 builds have been with their boards to include my current build with their Z890 Aorus Xtreme (not pictured). I've always found their board to be reliable, long lasting, and feature rich.

Good boards, solidly built, easy to use. I think you're be happy with the Z890 AORUS Elite should you decide on it.

I have an AORUS Elite AX Z790 motherboard at work and it has been solid since I got it a year ago. I liked it so much I bought a Gigabyte motherboard for my home rebuild. Sadly, the AORUS was not on sale when I bought my Z790 UD AC model for home, but I am really pleased with the quality and stability of that one too. I've been an ASUS fan-girl for many years. It's nice to have another option that I can feel comfortable with.

Thanks for your input, abactuon, Dru2 and Catnip. I ordered the AORUS Elite and it arrived today. Solid board. Got a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120SE cooler. Only the ram is missing, but it's due tomorrow. Now to figure out which of the strange chipset drivers I'll need. Before Z890, there wasn't anything except IME to install in that department. Now, there are such things as Neural Processing Unit, Gaussian Neural Accelerator and Processor Power Management.

Good board (y)

If you allow, the BIOS is set the enable download of GCC (Gigabyte Control Center), which in turn enables you to install the needed drivers, and BIOS updates from the app itself. I found (find) it a convenient way to install the driver as it will show those needed. Make sure you read the check boxes before downloading, as one of the check boxes is going to be for Norton, which you don't (shouldn't) need.

I just got this board from Newegg and it's not entering BIOS, unless I clear the CMOS first. No beep, just goes to Windows login page.
I was curious as to whether your setup has been stable since the get-go.
I have BIOS F16 and Corsair Vengeance MTS 6000 ram, 64 Gb. Otherwise the same as yours basically.

Check your USB settings are allowing the keyboard ports.

Also, if you've not done so, check the board has the latest BIOS release installed.

That said, if the board continues to exhibit such behavior now would be a good time to have it replaced.
