Hi!

I have been working on optimizing Windows 11 for the past two months.

After this period, with help of members of this forum, I created a batch file that you can run after a clean installation to debloat and enhance Windows performance. (Source code)

Do you have any other software recommendations for improving the performance of Windows 11?

You will lose:
1- Defender
2- Xbox
3- AI features
4- OneDrive
5- BitLocker
6- Recovery
7- Hibernation

read it before using. remove or convert to comment each part you think you're going to use later.
also check disabled services because I have disabled defender and Xbox services in that section too.
if your windows image is not modified, then remove those "dism" and "sfc" commands for repairing. they are useless on a fresh image.

I always do.
These days, running the batch through AI and asking if there is anything detrimental, is quite revealing.

It sounds great :-) Having just set up a new Windows 11 install there is SO much to do. Even with a list of settings to change in front of me, it still took me a couple of hours tweaking everything. Eg turning off various ads and pop ups and privacy settings in various different locations, and turning off most of the background apps one - at - a - time! Tedious. I was thinking while doing it, it would be great to have something to run that just did all this for me, set to a particular criteria. Does your script include those settings as well?

Yes it has many tweaks.
Each part has a label you can check what it really does.
But I’m going to create a UI for it so you can use it like OOShutUp.exe but with more settings.

You could call it “OOGetStuffed.exe”
Or “OOShudUpperYourFace.exe”

That sounds good - so there are settings you can opt in and out of? I just had a look at shutup.exe and it shows on off settings.

I use CT script. it's pretty useful. Do you think Microsoft Edge is still like.. essential to keep installed? He removed the tweak of the ability to get rid of it.. I'm definitely interested in your work.

In MDL forum, there are tons of discussions, and various solutions. you can select what you please.

I prefer the slim down scripts, on either W10 or W11. my last install.wim just about 3.1 GB. removing all bloatware (Store Edge Defender Telemetry , , ,). really slim.

I think a GUI would add a lot more appeal, it's a much smaller audience that will actually tinker inside scripts.

If you want to stick to the script version, how about some switches at the top so you can turn features on/off in one place, having to edit the script is much more error prone.
