You really should have him check that out. Instead of a boom mic, it has 5 (!) mics positioned around the headset.

Ha. I didn't mention it since you were asking about cans, but my keyboard is also SteelSeries - the Apex Pro. I got it because I could adjust the 'mechanical' resistance because it is electrical-based actuation, I think, but I have set the caps lock to max resistance - because I have a bad problem accidentally enabling that with my pinky.

It's not the only reason I got it - it has pretty pretty lights, I replaced the standard keycaps with the translucent body keycaps for even more pretty pretty lights, and it has a couple other features that I use too.

My previous KB was the Logitech G-15 v2, which I used for a long, long time. This one I'll probably end up using for a long, long time too.

Overall, SS has some pretty decent hardware, but are a bit pricey. With their headsets, though, they have some neat tricks they can perform with their GG software, and their software works well with both Nahimic as well as Dolby Atmos. But, the Heavy's I referenced work just as well with Nahimic and Atmos, so....

That would be so helpful for me. I have the Corsair K95 Pro, without fail, nearly every time I type something I hit the caps lock. I’ve nearly ditched it because if this.

I could create a Macro for the caps lock key that would play a recording of my wife nagging.. I’d learn pretty fast to be more careful 😄

you could try numlocker from file fileplant or softpedia. just decline the couple of crap apps offered when installing. it works well as you can see. :-)

I might do just that, thanks. Apparently it’s possible in iCue but you need to be a rocket scientist or wait 3 weeks on their forum to have your thread noticed, if at all. … because CORSAIR SUCKS NOW. <<< See.

I'm not a fan of anything that tries to install other software, so I found this, it's 33kb and installs to a folder and runs at boot. The only thing I don't like about it is that the icon in the sys tray is black and hard to see with my UI colors. But it works, thanks for the prompts, everyone.

My problem is that I do use CapsLock, so I don't want to disable it. I didn't buy this keyboard specifically for that manual actuation feature for CapsLock alone, but it is a nice side benefit of it.
