Hi, Hope this okay to post it in here?

Basically I'm pulling my hair out here, For some reason all my emails accounts with outlook are not keeping the received emails? after a short time they disappear and I don't understand why, I have tried importing a saved pst file and thought that was okay, only to find that they have disappeared?I find it very frustrating, hopefully some kind soul might have an answer?

Thanks for any help/advice

I wonder, if it is only kept for so long on the server (imap) or in outlook options check conversation clean up and save messages

Are you using IMAP or POP as your email protocol?

What are IMAP and POP? - Microsoft Support

Learn the difference between IMAP and POP, and when to use each one.

Also, if you archive mail, it should not "disappear", so something doesn't sound right

Archive in Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Support

They are disappearing? also I have just tried swapping from IMAP TO POP3.

Let us know, if it's still a problem, download a free mail app and see if it does it with that. It could help find out if it's a sever setting or a problem with Outlook

Great news, I am not too surprised as I said in earlier posts it may be a server issue, which makes sense if you have changed to pop 3 (y)

What I found really weird was that every time I imported a pst file it was also importing on all the other computer attached to the network through "mailwasher"

I gave up with mailwasher years ago, I found that Outlook ( I have 2019 ) along with Norton sorts it all out. Outlook has some quite powerful spam sorting features
