(Outlook) HTML/font codes are displayed in the message body instead of the actual content.

When opening the email, HTML/font codes are displayed in the message body instead of the actual content.

For example:

<sp微軟正黑體yle='font-size:14.0pt...>

I would like the email to display only the actual content text (e.g. "Content XXXXX") and not show the HTML/font code.

Could you advise how to resolve this issue?

Please say exactly which version of Outlook you are using. Is it the same on the web version and the desktop?

ChatGPT suggests this:

Outlook (desktop)
Open the email
Go to Message tab → Actions → Other Actions
Make sure “View in Browser” works (if it does, email HTML is fine)
Then:
File → Options → Mail
Under “Message format”
Ensure:
“Compose messages in this format” = HTML
Also check:
“Read all standard mail in plain text” = UNTICKED
Outlook (web / Outlook 365)
Open message
Click … (More actions)
If available: switch from Plain text → HTML
