You should be able to remove the preview@ email from the junk list.

You shouldn't need to do this if you follow post 3 but if you want to test that filter, I've set you up a webmail account on one of my servers with a domain I am not using. I'll send you the details in a PM

log in



When you log in you can change the password if you want to but you shouldn't need to as you're only testing.
If you do change the password, I can't see the new password but I can delete the account.



Click open or click on the image to open webmail, the rest is self explanatory.




Take a week, let me know when you're done.

Problem solved. Rules don't run in the Junk Email folder, which doesn't quite make sense to me, but that's the way it is. Thanks, @antspants for all your assistance with this matter!

They should, I could probably make a rule for that, but as I mentioned in the PM, then it's two rules to do the work of one.

I had a look at this.

To have mail that contains the word "preview" in the email address get deleted, that lands in the Junk Mail folder, a macro has to be written to act in the Junk Mail folder using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

The only thing I can't work out in the macro is how to apply it to the word "preview" in the email address.
The effort far exceeds the simplicity of post #3 (Thanks to Microsoft)

My advice is to stick to post #3. It's a specific rule made up of filters supplied by Microsoft for the exact reason you need them for (as you now know)
You never have to see them as long as they aren't marked as junk, as Junk rules get processed before the manually created rules (as you also now know)
