In Windows 10, there was an .reg that I found on this site to add take ownership to the context menu. Does that .reg file still work on Windows 11? Below it is quoted.

I use this specifically to rename the ActionCenter.dll to ActionCenter.dll.bak. Is this still even a thing in Windows 11 that I can/need to do?

Yes, it works in 11.

I'm not aware of what you can accomplish by disabling ActionCenter.dll, so I don't know whether that's a thing in 11 or not. Please tell.

By doing this, by adding the .bak to the end of the name, it prevents Action Center from launching and prevents annoying popups.

Does that accomplish more than right-clicking the clock, choosing Notifications Settings, and turning off all of the apps you don't want posting notifications?

[Genuine question. I have no idea what the answer actually is.]

(I'm assuming that if you're bothered by notifications, every time a Web site tells you it wants to Show Notifications, you hit Block or No.)
