Hello, I just wanted to know what the padlock on my screen meant. How do I get rid of it? I am using an Acer laptop. What's the cause of it? I have already tried to press scrLk, but there are no changes

Does anyone know how to disable the big padlock indicator on screen when i press the Capslock/numlock key?

You'll find more than one answer. Choose or try one or all of them. Which ever one fixes your issue.

From the site I just linked too in my last post:

Steps to disable padlock capslock/numlock notification sign:​

  1. Click on start button and open "Task scheduler".
  2. If not already expanded then expand Active Tasks.
  3. Locate Quick Access and double click it.
  4. On the next screen that appears, select Quick Access.
  5. In the right pane under Selected item, click "disable".
This will prevent QALauncher.exe from starting automatically every-time a user logs in.

This post has responses from 2016 to 2020.
Seems Acer has had this active problem for quite some time.
There are a few more ways to disable that annoying problem
on that site.
