Zbook: Thanks for your patience, assistance and guidance. I used Partition Magic to take 1.5 GB from C: and add to WinRe partition--very scary messing with C: partition. Great work from you and the 11forum experts! Johanna

Yes, that's the one. My bad... sorry for the confusion. The 1st screenshot in the online help article (link below) shows where to find it.

It also is possible to just right-click on the partition that you want to extend, then choose Extend. See:

P.S. Not that it matters, since I'll use Macrium Reflect image if have to restore, but still don't have folder C:\$WinREagent\
Do you think it will regenerate after next Windows update?

It is just a leftover from a previous update. It usually gets created automatically during an update. During the update process, it is used by the update process to store temporary files. It can also be used to roll back (undo) the update to WinRE if needed to roll back, i.e. after an error was caused by the update somehow. After WinRE has been successfully updated, this folder may safely be deleted, and it normally gets deleted automatically after a certain period. (It is 10 days, IIRC).

Wow! It is so much easier to just move the recovery environment to C:\ drive and not have to mess with a recovery partition.
