PC is crashing unexpectedly, and the BIOS load time

Once it crashes and turns off, turn on the computer and have Windows load. Once it loads, open Event Viewer and see what it shows right before the computer turned off.

I have found that it's mostly DistributedCOM aka DCOM and Windows Firewall.

Today is 07/13/2025.

The logs reported a Windows installation on 07/02.

The event viewer only had todays events.

Eleven days were missing.

All Windows error reporting were missing.

How come crash dumps were disabled?

1) Make sure that cleaning is not performed during the troubleshooting.

2) Make sure that Driver Max is not used

3) Uninstall Bitdefender

4) Make sure that defender is on > perform updates

5) Run Tuneup plus > post a share link

6) Use the computer for one week to generate new log files

7) If there are no new log files then there will be no new data to troubleshoot > consider a clean install followed by a run of Tuneup plus

@IgnaciaIce If you have a spare ssd or if you can get a really cheap one or borrow one from a friend try taking out the old ssd and putting a new one and install Windows and see if that help's.

I work on pc's in my time a lot and I can tell you with ssd's no matter brand they are can do so many strange things to your pc that you wouldn't believe.

I had a friend just the other day have a brand new Kingston ssd acting up on him after,he was getting stuttering when he played games and he tried pulling 1 stick of ram at a time and he tried 2 different video's cards and all sorts of thing's and bought it to me and I tried a spare ssd I had and bingo that fixed the problem right away.

Other thing's that can happen when an ssd goes bad is the ssd can fail totally but the chip that has the model of the ssd and other info on it still works and people go into the bios and can still see the ssd showing up in the bios and they think it can't be the ssd because it's showing up in the bios so it must be good.

Another problem I ran into and helped a guy out in a facebook pc group was that his pc would start up but it wouldn't show the Logo screen where it say's ASUS or Gigabyte and so on and he also couldn't get into the bios,I seen the problem before and everyone said I was crazy and didn't know what I was talking about,I contacted the guy 5 days later after I posted about him pulling his ssd and asked if he figured out the problem and he said no and I said then if you have tried everything that everyone else has said to try then pull the ssd and see if you get the Logo screen or if you can get into the bios, sure enough first time he started the pc up without the ssd being installed he got the Logo screen and could also get into the bios and his ssd was bad.

With ssd's they can be extremely tricky to figure out what's going on when they die sometimes because they can play a lot of different games, most times when an ssd has gone bad they just flat out die and don't cause much drama but sometimes they can cause a lot of crazy problem's.
