Solved PC runs while Update seems stuck

Today I ran a update check and as per attached video it just does nothing else. All other pc and internet activity not affected. Web search results suggested wait and monitor drive activity light, but this unit does not have one. Another to stop the Windows Update service, did this but no change. I even did a system restore back to 4 days ago. No change. Also, sfc /scannow no issues. help.

I waited about 10 minutes... The pc I was updating at that time had an ethernet connection. My updates have always started right away.
