Solved PC Won't Wake From Sleep

I bought a new MiniPC with Windows 11 and when it goes to Sleep it won't wake with Mouse or Keyboard. I have to physically push button case which I'd rather not have to do.
Keyboard and mouse are Bluetooth if that matters. Played around and can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

I always thought that it’s what you’re expected to do in an S3 state. It’s how my wife's laptop is.

Please try a wired keyboard and mouse. Bluetooth won't work to wake the system from sleep.

I just tried 3 of my Mini PCs and the behavior is the same on all of them: Bluetooth wake = no, wired works fine.

That sucks because I'm not switching to wired peripherals. Guess I will push the button. *cries*

You don't have to! Rather than Bluetooth, use a mouse and keyboard that have a wireless receiver. The receiver acts like a physical keyboard would but you still have the convenience of wireless.

You might also want to be aware that a Bluetooth KB will not work in BIOS or UEFI setup so if you ever have to go into that Bluetooth will not work.

Now that you mention it, I recalled that this mouse was able to connect to a wireless receiver but I didn't see one in the box when I got it. So I found the box (I keep stuff like a hoarder) and it's actually stored inside the mouse where the battery is! The keyboard should be able to connect to it as well. I will report back once I test it. You might have saved the day!!!

Sometimes things don't work out so well. My best Mini PC with an i9 CPU just died overnight. Won't even power on now. I had to pull the SSD and drop it in another system.

When you get it back on again - turn off "sleep"!

Control panel - power options - change when the computer sleeps - set to "Never"

I think it has something to do with the motherboards. On my PowerSpec G156 I can bring the computer out of sleep mode with my WiFi mouse or keyboard. On my newer PowerSpec B746 I have to use the Power button.

Do you know for sure it's the computer and not the power supply. If it's the computer try resetting the BIOS if it's possible. I have a old PowerSpec desktop that I thought had died years ago. I'm not sure why but I put it away instead recycling it. At the suggestion from @Scannerman I tried the BIOS reset and to my surprise it powered up. I did have to replace the SSD, Memory and CPU fan that I used on another computer.

100%. Since it is a Mini PC the PS is just an external brick. I have at least 5 of these so I simply tried another known good PS and it also did not work with this Mini PC. But the PS for this Mini PC worked fine with another Mini PC. So the PS is good.

BTW, I did perform a CMOS reset and still zero indication of life. I may take a multimeter to it just to see if it is even trying to draw any power whatsoever. I can try probing the more obvious stuff like MOSFETs but I'm a bit limited on equipment. I largely gave up all my electronics troubleshooting equipment years ago so what I can do is very limited.
