OS
win 11 25H2
I needed to extend the partition on my C: drive so I
-copied everything from the adjacent D: drive to an external drive,
-deleted the D: partition,
-extended C:
-created a new D: partition
-copied everything back to D:

Now I have problems when I try to access file. I often get a message saying 1762272209044.webp
I am running 24H2 as I am having a problem downloading 25H2

It turned out to be a problem related to Onedrive. In moving files to the external drive I messed up linkages. In the end I deleted OneDrive and everything eventually straightened out.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
Thanks for the helpful suggestions. I also found some useful videos on getting rid of Onedrive.

Onedrive was the source of my problems, the other things were just symptoms. It was my own lack of understanding of how Onedrive works that caused me to overlook it when moving things around to make more space on my C: drive. In my case (only 1 Windows computer, no sharing data between computers) Onedrive was not giving me any benefit, so I got rid of it and the problems went away.
