Greetings!

So ever since making the transition over to Win11 I've noticed an issue with either the Photos App or OneDrive where Pictures added to them would occasionally create duplicates ( like every 8-10 Image ) regardless which Device provided the source ( PCs or iPhone ).

Checking the File Info ( in the Win11 Photos App ) for each of them would result in the following information being provided:
Untitled.png

Needless to say, I find this very agonizing and something I'd like to stop - Anyone know what is causing this and/or how to stop it?
Is this a synchronization issue between the various devices having access to that Pictures folder via OneDrive? ( 4 PCs, an iPhone and an iPad ) 🤨

Thanks in Advance 😁

It's how you have your onedrive settings. You have your local pictures folder being backed up to the cloud (onedrive settings-backup) You also have this folder available offline(onedrive settings-choose folders folders you choose will be available on this PC)
Having your pictures folder set up to automatically backup to the cloud as well as having the folder 'available offline' results in a picture being in C:\users\durah\pictures (on your hdd), the same picture in your C:\users\durah\onedrive\pictures (also on your hdd) and the same picture also in the cloud.

This explanation makes no sense with it only creating duplicates of like every tenth or so random picture in my gallery and - if I'm interpreting the File Info correctly - four days late?

I was just going by the screenshots you provided. The one on the left is a photo from your offline onedrive folder stored on your hard drive. The one on the right is from your cloud folder. Hopefully someone else can explain it better.
