Hello,
Old version but meets my needs perfectly.
Runs as trial version on my new PC because I can't deactivate it on my old PC :devilish:
I can't find any help with ADOBE 🤬

Can Adobe really block it on my PC ?

Program won't launch anymore.
Adobe will not let you continue using their software, unless you buy a license, of course.

You can contact Adobe Customer Care Let them know you are unable to deactivate CS5.
Ask for Tier 2 support or a supervisor if you have problems. Get a case number.


But thats pretty much your only option. If you have an account with adobe and your device is registered in there you can try removing it from here:

I have an ADOBE account but I created it only 5 or 6 years ago, when I bought a new Acrobat.
I'll just have to use the software off-line I guess... Would it launch ?

just spam the chat bot with the word agent, help, supervisor etc it will eventually let you through.

When I bought the Suite, there was no end date.... It still works on my old PC, it's just that deactivation is blocked and thus I can't activate it on the new machine.
So ADOBE has put a small thingy on my PC so that the software will be blocked 29 days from now ? And that's legal !!! :ffs:

Try saying product wont deactivate, need to deactivate product etc

You agreed to the trial version. It's their product, it is legal since you agreed to it.
Built-in the .exe of that trial version is a count down mechanism that will tick down toward the expiration of that trial version.

I would still try to find a way to reach their tech support.
But the program you are trying to install is from 2012?

The problem with old Photoshop is while they may have a 64 bit installer, they have 32 bit binaries and can't run on Windows 11.

You have to upgrade.

It runs perfectly on Win 11 Pro on my laptop.... Just a problem with the size of the tools, they are very tiny. But it's ok, I'm familiar with them.
The boxed version was for 2 machines
I installed it on my laptop 4 or 5 years ago, no problem with the serial munber there though I had never deactivated on my previous Thinkpad...

Plus the "so called" trial version runs fine on this PC.... No problem with the size of the tools, different screen definition.

I guess no noticed Adobe Photoshop CS5 is 15-years old. I highly doubt Adobe still cares about it, let alone provides support for it.

Google" adobe photoshop CS5 release date", and... Adobe Photoshop CS5 was released on April 30, 2010. Also hard to believe a "trial version" of said product is still valid after 15-years. Also "The serial number is not valid for this product", and....

And I am a Photoshop user since 1999. Currently on the subscription model. I've also used CS, CS2, CS5, and CS6 Extended.

I know its old. But it meets my needs and it's not worth the money for me to buy a subscription.
It's crazy that ADOBE can consider a CS5 as trial version !

Could I create a virtual machine of my old PC ? (I know precious little about computers)

Hi -
I had the tiny tools and text problem when I switched to a 4K monitor with version CS6 on my Win 11 Pro machine. I think I went to the Photoshop.exe file, and went to properties (Not sure, it was a long time ago). There is a compatibility module. I was able to enlarge my text and tools there. Still wound up with the subscription version of PS in the end. It works, and is way better. Good luck.
