I think it would be pretty interesting to see that happen, but AI changes the way things will be from now on. Whether Adobe can monopolized like it was in past or not.

The courts may come with all sorts of rules, but it remains to be seen whether AI respects any of that or not.

So yes you can just sign out and stay signed out, as I do - until word does some weird thing like it did to me the other day and wanted something verifying and I found it had signed me in again and document saves were getting one drive save options again. I just signed out and it went away. But that recent experience, it seemed to be doing something of it's own accord! Maybe an update. That was annoying.

That's evil.. :-)
But as i know modern windows is evil, i always create empty ghost-files of the program/file that i never-ever want to be reinstalled.. If trusted installer and the system dont have privileges/rights to the ghost-file or folder.. the installer will fail and cant complete the installation or "repair"
If windows is evil.... be even more evil back. :devilish:

A pretty good FREE no nonsense program which runs on both Windows and Linux and has been around for ages and still getting developed is GIMP. Has pretty well anything any even semi-pro photographer would need including curves, layers, white balance etc etc.

Or you could just install Office without OneDrive correctly, and it never comes back. I realize that's not as fun as complaining about an OS you don't use.

I do use win10 IoT and i will start using win11 IoT after that.. as i still is depended on a few software that is windows-only. :-)
