Hi folks

Are there any Microsoft people on these boards who an understand this :. We need to test this stuff before it's let out into "as the US justice system says" you will be released from part of Federal Prison into "Gen Pop".

There's a lot of current problems with Enterprise versions and even home issues -- although I have to admit the performance of W11 for me at least is worth the upgrade.

So C'mon Ms let's get some REAL performance monitors out for W11 otherwise why should we (as businesses) even THINK about upgrading many are still running successfully on W7 !!!

Cheers
jimbo

Huh - W11 is an Insider version!

By definition, it is risky, with most risk at Dev level, less at Beta, lesser at RP, least staying on W10.

Nobody is forcing you to test W11.

@jimbo45 did say before it's let out (released). I think he is asking for faster updates so Windows 11 can be thoroughly tested in time for the expected October release.

Microsoft seems to be busy with things that have no relationship to Windows 11 or Microsoft. The CEO's speech on the Release of Windows 11 was a prime example.

Well....there is a large number of people out there who claim the Windows 10 upgrade from 7 or 8 was forced upon them. There are still currently a large number of users who claim that Windows 10 upgrades/updates are forced upon them. So, I suspect, there will be an equally large number of people who claim that the upgrade to Windows 11 was forced upon them.

I'm still upset with MS for forcing me to replace my Tandy 1000 RLX computer because it wouldn't run Windows.

There are businesses who for one reason or another need to stay on Windows 7 for some or all of their machines. For those cases Microsoft is continuing to provide monthly Rollup updates (at a price) and will do so until 2023. That catch is that you have to have purchased the Extended Security Update (ESU) at the end of extended support in 2020, renewable annually. Here's the latest update for their paying customers...

I think only geeks will buy a new PC just to run it with 5 years to still run 10. The average user just gets whatever comes on a new PC when needed. What happens 5 years from now is a different question. We all know there are people still running XP, Vista, etc.
