My bank doesn't make Apps for the Microsoft Store, only for Android and iOS. So I used Edge Settings>Apps to make the login page an App for my desktop Windows 11 Pro.
The bank is aware of this and are looking into making one available.
This is just an FYI but I do have a question, is there a way of making the home-made App more secure, i.e. add facial ID?

When you say you've made your own banking app, it immediately is a red flag to me. Are you confusing a shortcut with an app? It is up to the financial institution to create it's own app that their customers can use to log into that bank with approved methods and built-in safety protocols.
If you are not referring to a shortcut, then your request seems a bit shady...and illegal... to me.

Edge browser offers to make any webpage into an app under Settings > Apps. OK it’s nothing really more than a shortcut, but I was just wondering if there was a way to make it more secure.
Nothing shady about it.

OK that makes sense to me. The best advice I can give you when it comes to financial sites is to NEVER save your credentials for these sites in your browser.
Go one step further and set up 2-step verification for accessing the sites. In my case, my 2fa is my phone, and my fingerprint unlocks my phone, so unless someone has access to my phone AND my hand, none of my financials can be accessed.

If your bank offers 2FA or the use of an authenticator (one-time password) app, then it doesn't matter you have an "unsecured" browser link. Possession of a physical device (smartphone) to authenticate provides that extra layer of security.
