The main thing might be to only buy from a Reliable source.
Then leave room for added devices in the future.
If I needed a new PSU today, I would get an Antec Earthwatts, 500w or better, depending on price and availability.
 
The last PSU I purchased was a Corsair RM750 modular for my NAS computer. I have been very happy with it. Getting a modular PSU means you only need to attach the cables that you are actually going to use and makes for a much neater installation.

The OP fails to mention what GPU either he has or is about to get. Anything below 650Watt PS for a GPU of 200 watt TDP is usless.

Seasonic or Superflower are currently the best quality, performance and warranty.

Need more info to advise on the wattage, but the recommended wattage provided by the graphics card manufacturer is almost always sufficient - it is an estimate for the whole system.

True here so far no graphics card mentioned only then recommend brand not wattage. As post#8 good start for a choice.

I'm a big fan of Seasonic. All 4 of the families desktops are running them. I usually get a 750w-850w. Fully modular.

Oddly enough, i almost never use it. Occasionally I use it just to help verify that a particular cooler will fit a particular case or make sure there are no other hardware incompatibilities. Mental Note: Need to use it more.

Yeah, when I first found it, years ago... it took me a while to start using it too.
Now... I don't really use anything else.

It even has a power supply calculator (top right), if you put the other parts on the list.

I'm about to upgrade to that board. I'm going to reuse my EVGA Platinum 850W PSU which ha ample headroom to supply the predicted power. EVGA gave a 10 year warranty when I bought this PSU
