Powershell Remove update to latest version message, just updated to the latest version, but still this message when i open powershell

There are two variants of Powershell. Windows Powershell (version 5.x, currently 5.1 EOL) If you open this you may see a prompt.
Microsoft Powershell is 6.x, 7.x is the go-forward platform agnostic version of Powershell.

TL : DR If you're opening Windows Powershell you will/may see a prompt to upgrade. Make sure you're using Microsoft Powershell

I have the same issue. My understanding is that the new version installs alongside the 5.1 version which is accessed via terminal. To access the new version you need to type "powershell 7" into search.

I haven't seen anything I can't run with the default PowerShell, so I'm not going to fool around with the updates until something actually requires them. I can ignore the one line recommendation for upgrading it. ;-)
