Hi Windows Gurus --
seems I have a later "Cumulative update" which is going OK even though a previous one failed.

Do I have to ensure BOTH are installed or is this OK

Might seem obvious to some but I'm not a Windows Guru - so yielding to better knowlege on this stuff. Install is on a Real machine not a VM and update from build 22000.318. Windows is activated OK with digital license.

You only have one cumulative update. The 'previous one' that didn't install is not a cumulative update, it is a quite separate type of update, and not an essential one either.

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

unsupported machine: Legacy bios, MBR, TPM 1.2, upgraded from W10 to W11 using W10/W11 hybrid install media workaround. In-place upgrade to 22H2 using ISO and a workaround. Feature Update to 23H2 by manually installing the Enablement Package.

Thanks -- always appreciate your tips and help -- so again many thanks

Seems after a reboot all is seems "Alles in Ordnung" -- probably a better way in UK Eng to say that !!

anyway many thanks

Now for some more beer and English footy -- C'mon CHELSEA !!!!!!! (even Chelsea supporters have Ukranian flags today)

Here in Iceland we get all the 15.00 sat UK premier league games to choice - no geoblocking here -- probably most of those big countries supplying the streams don't even know we exist. !!!! (and with a population about the size of a smallish part of S.London in population of approx 290,000 people ("London Borough of Sutton)" why would they be bothered. --Advantages here then in spite of winter weather of around 2 deg C today,

Cheers
