Moved my wife to a Windows 11 all in one. Her synced onedrive folders came over fine. Do we need the "on pc" copies of the document and picture folders, or just keep it simple and use onedrive. Also, if the on pc folders are desirable, what is the best way to move them, at this point.

Welcome to the forum. You do not necessarily have to have the files on pc if you have reliable internet and/or no need to access your files offline. If you are using just the 5gb of onedrive storage you get with your MS account rather than 365 with all it's massive amount of storage, be sure to monitor your onedrive storage so that you do not go over the 5gb. Remember, that amount includes files and email (outlook email).

If the drive isn't short on space it's a matter of personal choice. If she only has the 5GB of OneDrive space and is running out of storage space the folders on OneDrive can be moved from the cloud to a local drive. If you want I'll look for the guide.

We have 365 which seems like a great deal, 1TB of cloud storage for up to 5 users, only 2 of us, but still good at this time. Might just keep it simple for her with one location that is presumably safe.
