I don't even know how I accidentally deleted a Yahoo email profile from Outlook 2021. I already had an MS Live email there.

Then, on the Account Settings window, on the Email tab, the Yahoo email address doesn't show any more (so it cannot be removed here); but it is still on the Data Files tabs, so I removed it there. The problem seemed to be solved, but it wasn't. I added the Yahoo email profile again, but every time I left click on any of the two accounts (top account email folders), Outlook immediately crashes. Not on the subfolders or right click. When I left click on the MS Live email account (which is the default) it also even displays the text on the included screenshot, instead of the usual information.

Then I uninstalled Office with tool SetupProd_OffScrub_Uninstall.exe and reinstalled it clean from the flash drive with the original mounted Office that I bought and downloaded from MS. When I started Outlook I was astonished to see on it the very same installation and email profiles that I thought I completed eliminated with SetupProd_OffScrub_Uninstall.exe. And the problems remain.

What can I do to have Outlook working normally before it makes me crazy, please? I believe I should have sticked to Outlook 2019 instead of wasting my money with this nonsense waste. This Outlook is not even good for a complete ignorant: almost nothing can be properly configured. I could not even set it to use the PST data file from my previous Outlook 2019, which I obviously need.

Is there a possibility to solve this case? I should get my money back.

Thank you, @glasskuter. They are no longer there because I have had them for years on another drive for not to lose them. But the problem is not only that I can't make Outlook accept them, but what I described.

Thank you glasskuter. I know where they are nd since XP I move all my files and Most personal folders to another drive, so that I cant loose them. The main problem is not there: I completely remove Office 2019 from my computer with the tool above, But when I reinstall nothing changed, the outlook has already the two accounts on it and with the same issue. Have you seen the attached file that appears on the right pane when I left-click on the default mail account?

Edit: it was from 2019.

Yes, I saw it. It is in unicode as it is supposed to be but Outlook 2021 is not converting it into a readable format. It makes me believe one of two things is happening. Either the .pst has somehow gotten corrupted OR the 2021 Outlook itself is corrupted.

I suggest you contact Office support. You can save yourself a lot of time and effort as they are very good and it's not difficult to reach a knowledgeable person.

(I just did it on mine. In the problem box I entered "Outlook 2021 will not open pst file'.
It will give you suggestions. At the bottom is "contact support"
enter category=Outlook
Select chat with support agent.
If they decide it's necessary, they will take your phone number and call you. The times I've had to contact them they accessed my computer and fixed my problem for me.

Good luck. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I might add you better check for corrupt system files first. MS will have you do it anyway,
Open a command prompt as administrator and type sfc /scannow
Pay attention to the scan results to see if SFC found anything it could not repair. If it found corruption it could not fix followup with this command (note the spaces)
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Restart computer

(Note-you can follow up with another sfc /scannow command to make sure that dism repaired the files)

Before your message I had already tried to get in touch with MS support. However, I was not as lucky. After three times I received an adviser telling they were busy and if I wanted to wait, I postponed. I'll do it tomorrow at a time I believe they are not so busy, in the morning. It's easy for me because I am at GMT time.

sfc /scannow didn't find any problem. The problem is on that stupid Outlook 2021.
Either the .pst has somehow gotten corrupted OR the 2021 Outlook itself is corrupted.

I believe It is not corrupt because I scanned it before, but as I wrote at staring, Outlook has created another PST file by itself when I chose a POP setting for one of the emails, and the other one is am IMAP. It is stupid so much difficulties to make some setting or even worse to change them.

Thank you very much for your kind replies and trying to help.
If I can fix it through support help and I happen to know what they did I'll write it here, but the probability is that they fix ix without telling what it was.

Sounds like you have a corrupt Outlook profile. Go to control panel and make sure system icons are visible. From there, select Mail and you should see your Outlook profile. Created a new Outlook profile and go from there.

Thank you for replying.

I've thought that, but it works alright when in safe mode. Also, because a mail profile increases a bit the size of the registry, and that is one more thing to slow down a computer, I considered trying other options that anyone in the forum would recommend. Even if mine is not slow, all computers slow down in time, as my experience goes.

Wbat do you think about it being OK on safe mode?

Are you talking about starting Outlook with the /safe switch? If so, there is an add on causing problems. Start Outlook in safe mode and systematically disable each add on one at a time and start Outlook normal to figure out which add on could be the culprit. What are you running for an anti virus? Start by disabling that.

Yes, I started in safe mode pressing the Ctrl key while clicking on the Outlook link, which is the same as you say. I found five add-ins and I cleared all their boxes. Then, I restarted Outlook believing it was probably solved, but I was very disappointed it was still as before. I checked the add-ins. All their cases were still empty.

Tomorrow I will explore for more possibilities because I have to sleep now. If you have more suggestions please lieve them here, and thank you for trying to help. Ideas can generate other ideas.
