Quick Launch with 24H2?

I'm using explorer patcher. 24H2 obviously changed / disabled a lot of its functionality. Is it possible to add a quick launch toolbar with 24H2? There doesn't seem to be an "add toolbar" or "lock toolbar" or any of the old taskbar options.
Thanks.

I think MS removed Quick Launch functionality from Windows 11 before it was released in October 2021.

Indeed. But with Explorer Patcher I was able to re-enable Quick Launch prior to the 24H2 update.

Does that still work? I thought it requires the old taskbar that has since been removed.
Just installed it - works perfectly. Restored the "old" taskbar context menu (toolbars, lock taskbar, etc). Thanks very much (y)

Did you mean to thank @Spunk? I'm confused because earlier you said "with ExplorerPatcher I was able to re-enable Quick Launch prior to the 24H2 update" but the article was about using ExplorerPatcher, so I didn't expect that to work for you. Or were you talking about Tray Toolbar from GitHub?

I was thanking you.

I had already reinstalled EP. The latest release is supposedly 24H2 compatible. However, either much of it has been broken by 24H2 or it simply isn't working as well as it did previously. After reading your response above I installed Tray Toolbar and it restored the Quick Launch functionality I was looking for.

The latest pre-release (22621.3880.66.7) works fine for me on 24H2. You just need to choose "Windows 10 (ExplorerPatcher)" instead of "Windows 10" as the taskbar style. To move a toolbar to the area between the Start button and the Pinned area, you have to "snap" it there, i.e., drag it with your mouse by moving your mouse much faster than normal. (Snap is a UI feature that was introduced by Microsoft with the release of Windows 7.)

I AM using the correct toolbar setting. And what I want is the quick launch toolbar, which I now have thanks to TrayToolbar. Thanks though.

The popup menu that TrayToolbar adds to the System Tray, or Notification area of the taskbar is not nearly the same as a "Quick Launch" toolbar. The difference is that a toolbar can be positioned anywhere within the space of the taskbar that would otherwise be just empty space, and that a toolbar can also be resized to keep one or more icons always visible on the toolbar. The screenshot that I posted is an example of how a Quick Launch toolbar actually looks like when there's only one icon on it (the Show Desktop shortuct in my case, as I like to have a Show Desktop button on both ends of my taskbar just so I can avoid having to move my mouse pointer all the way to the far right each time).

Perhaps Tray Toolbar doesn't work like the QL toolbar does for you, but it does for me. Absolutely the same functionality.

I don't have an issue, nor was trying to argue about anything. All I did was post 2 screenshots for those who might stumble across this thread and who might not already know the difference between a so-called "Quick Launch" toolbar and TrayToolbar's popup menu.
- thank you.
You're very much welcome.

Have got my PC updated to 24H2 and now my taskbar is horrible looking. Tall and big, and no quick launch. Tried installing Windhawk, but after installing this app Chrome and Firefox stopped working. So I had to remove it.
So can anyone confirm if Explorer Patcher is working with 22H4 regarding Quick Launch in taskbar? Thanks in advance.

Hi Allan. A picture really is worth a 1000 words. Tray Toolbar provides similar functionality to the old toolbars via the System Tray. Your screenshot shows that you have the Windows 10 style taskbar (with toolbars). I see that you have Open Shell and I assume you also have ExplorerPatcher or StartAllBack or something that's giving you the old style taskbar. Apparently, the toolbars started working after installing Tray Toolbar, so I'm not sure if there's some interesting combination going on or if that was a coincidence, but that's why I was confused when you initially replied that Tray Toolbar solved it. I was expecting a reply along the lines that it's just an OK substitute. I think this also explains the replies from @hdmi.
