QuickLaunch won't open after windows updates

Since 1st October windows updates I find my quick launch won't open.
I have removed it/added it, even mad a new folder of the items (50 of them) but still it wont launch. I have run sfc/scannow which found and corrected errors too.

Anyone else noticed this/found a solution?

This is the Windows 11 forum and you running Windows 10?
With both versions 'Quick Launch' does not work. I believe that the Taskbar has replaced QL.
Apps that are pinned apps to the taskbar launch with a single click but you'll struggle to pin 50 apps there.

Does QuickLaunch folder still exist? Check here:

%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\

Just to get this out of the way (in case some needed component is corrupted) - re-register Windows Apps via PowerShell (opened as Admin) - by copy pasting the following command:

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

How are you making Quick Launch appear? As a Taskbar Toolbar using a third-party utility such as ExplorerPatcher?

I had to reinstall ExplorerPatcher after I had upgraded to the latest Versions.

'Quick Launch' is okay if there's only a few items, but, if you've got a ton of folders, you can't wheel scroll against the list..., you have to hover your mouse pointer over that tiny blank bar at the bottom or top, to make it auto-scroll! p-i-t-a!

I never have to do that. The Taskbar Toolbars I enable using ExplorerPatcher show up in their entirety.
Are you referring to another method of enabling Taskbar Toolbars in Windows 11?

My Toolbars are created courtesy of SAB, my Music folder, which contains hundreds of folders, extends way beyond the boundaries of the screen, so, I have to do the mouse hover thing..., or, up/down arrow keys, which also takes forever!

Understood.
I don't have any entries that long so I reduced my screen resolution to emulate what you experience.

I just use File explorer to browse my audio collections so I had no idea how awkward very long lists would be in a Taskbar Toolbar.

I had to reinstall explorerpatcher I remember several months bak. There are 50 items in the quicklaunch folder. If I click on the >> icon it highlights but nothing happens. I now have to access qucklaunch by right clicking on quicklaunch on the taskbar then open folder then clicking the shortcut.

Windows 11 out of the box is so dumbed down, it's the very reason I rely so heavily on SAB and QTTabBar.

QTTabBar allows access to files, folders, applications and devices from anywhere, anytime, with fully scrollable jump lists, and live hover previews for almost all media.
File Explorer is still capable of miracles, MS just doesn't want you to perform miracles!!!

Tonight a notification came up that a new version of explorerpatcher was available and after installing it my quicklaunch now works.
