Solved Reappearing Folder

I made the folder Data2, if I open it, it shows as being an empty folder. If I delete it, it returns when File Explorer is opened.

Can you help to permanently delete it please?

I keep on hand a Linux Mint LiveUSB thumb drive and boot it whenever I have to deal with undeletable files/folders. It works outside of Windows.

Note: A new twist to the process popped up the other day, new installs of Win11 may have the main drive/C: encrypted by Bitlocker, prohibits access and doesn't ask for the key. Ran into this last 2 Notebooks I set up, quitting Bitlocker first was the solution to gaining access from Linux.

Try this.
1. Right click on folder and hit shift+del.

2. If it comes back, then try this. Add "take ownership" to your right click context menu. Use Option 2 of this tutorial.
Right click on troublesome folder and select take ownership.
Delete the folder
If you want to remove the take ownership from your context menu when finished, use option 4 in that tutorial.

If it comes back after all that, something on your computer is re-creating the folder. That be the case, would you please tell me for what reason you created the Data2 documents folder in the first place. Was it related to a particular application?

Thanks for your reply. I put my laptop into 'Safe Mode' and deleted the file and it worked.
